Televangelist Pat Robertson has weighed in on whether or not Christians should get tattoos, stating that it is a "heathen practice" to get a tattoo.

On a Wednesday installment of the long running program "The 700 Club," Robertson was asked by a viewer about his opinion on Christians getting tattoos.

Controversial televangelist Pat Robertson recently denounced the decision of former President George W. Bush to go to war in Iraq, linking it to the recent outbreak of violence in the Middle Eastern country.

On a Monday broadcast of "The 700 Club," the former Bush supporter was asked by a viewer during his "Bring It On" segment about the current situation in Iraq.

WASHINGTON – A group of demonstrators representing over 40 different organizations gathered outside the White House to demand that Meriam Ibrahim, a Sudanese Christian woman sentenced to death for apostasy in Sudan, be freed.

Dozens of protesters, including U.S. Congressman Trent Franks of Arizona and U.S. Senator Ted Cruz of Texas, stood outside 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. on a warm overcast Thursday morning to demand the freeing of Ibrahim.

Republican House Majority Leader Eric Cantor of Virginia has lost his primary to a Tea Party challenger, hailed by many as a major upset.

In results reported Tuesday evening for the seventh congressional district of Virginia incumbent, he was defeated by David Brat, a Tea party activist and economics professor.

With 86.5 percent of results reported, Brat garnered 55.9 percent to Cantor's 44.1 percent of the vote. more >>

Tullian Tchividjian clarified on Thursday that he was neither backing away from his theological position nor recanting his critical remarks on the Sovereign Grace Ministries sex abuse scandal when he released an apology last week.

His apology came after "getting a week of reflection under my belt and thinking long and hard about not any of the issues regarding Sovereign Grace or any theological disagreements I had with The Gospel Coalition or anything like that," the Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church pastor told Janet Mefferd on her radio show. "This had more to do with literally, God, the Holy Spirit, convicting me regarding the tone in some of the things that I've said, things that I've said in private, things that I've said in public — not backing away at all from my theological position or the way that I felt, continue to feel about the whole Sovereign Grace issue at all."

Tchividjian said he penned the apology in response to a "prompting of God's spirit" and a desire to say "'sorry,' to the many, many, many, many people out there, believe it or not, who hated to see a public breakup like that." more >>

Trinity Broadcasting Network suffered a severe decline in total revenue for the year 2012, according to the Form 990 it filed with the Internal Revenue Service.

According to the form for the 2012 calendar year TBN – legally registered as the Trinity Christian Center of Santa Ana, Inc. – had a total revenue of approximately $144 million. This contrasts with calendar year 2011, when they had a total revenue of about $176 million.
