The popular ABC Family mystery drama TV series "Pretty Little Liars" Season 5 won't be returning on air until January but fans might have already known what to expect in the show's season finale.
Thanks to series creator Marlene King, it was revealed that the closing episode will feature a little bit of Patsy Cline.
In her Instagram account, King posted an image with a caption that reads "PLL starts January 6 and the finale ends here."
The picture, devoid of the program's famous faces or themes, reveals a screen shot of a song that appears to be playing on the EP's phone or tablet titled "Walkin' After Midnight" by Patsy Cline.
"Many clues to be found in this song," she went on to tease. "#PatsyCline #WalkinAfterMidnight #ForReal."
Several sites even went on to break down the lyrics to Patsy Cline's song. IBTimes wrote that the first verse which reads: "I go out walkin' after midnight / Out in the moonlight / Just like we used to do / I'm always walkin' after midnight searchin' for you" could refer to Alison (Sasha Pieterse).
"Alison has a tendency to sneak around in the middle of the night – whether it's attending a mysterious gathering at a barn, meeting people to do a little blackmailing or even engaging in a little romantic rendezvous," the site speculated.
The second verse reads: "I walk for miles along the highway / Well, that's just my way / Of sayin' I love you / I'm always walkin' after midnight, searchin' for you" could be also in reference to Mona (Janel Parrish).
Viewers will be able to find out the whole truth behind the EP's suggestion when "Pretty Little Liars" Season 5 airs this Tuesday, Jan. 6 at 8 p.m. on ABC Family.
